GINGERBOY

I discovered this photo while reading the Wallpaper magazine, it is a newly opened restaurant called Gingerboy in one of Melbourne's narrow back streets in the city. The very small area for the restaurant has been maximised by Architects Elenberg Fraser. I love their design of using mirrors on one wall to open up the room and also the use of clear perspex chairs similar to Philippe Starcks Louis ghost chair which just disappear into the space. The installation of shiny black bamboo poles and spotlights on the wall and ceiling creates a sparkling tunnelled ceiling which results in a starry night illusion.
